VBAC hooray!

My mother informed me that the hospital she works for is going to start allowing VBAC . I'm so excited because I really do believe the c-section rate is ridiculous and there are too many unnecessary c-sections being performed. Of course, the way my fertility is, I'll probably never get to experience it but I am so excited for anyone who desperately wants to do this. Woo hoo!

I had lengthy discussions with my OB about this issue. In the end I opted for the c-section. It was a much better experience than I anticipated. I have horrible memories of my first one 10 years ago, but that one was not planned. My recovery after this one has gone smoothly and I had a nice, long vacation in the hospital afterwards. Whether you have another section or a VBAC, I sincerely hope you get to experience childbirth again. Keeping you in my prayers!

I just stumbled across your blog this evening. Even though my comment is about "brace face", I was afraid if I posted it there, you wouldn't go back and review for new comments... so here goes:
I'm a bit ahead of you on the braces time line. My son is 21 and they've been long gone for a few years and he's left with that "million dollar smile." The BEST thing we bought him during this time was a water pick. Really, he used it daily and never had one bit of trouble. Not one cavity. No problems. You can even put a little mouthwash in it instead of water. RUN to WalMart and get one.
Best of luck to your daughter.

That is wild. I know my neighbor (a former doula and a woman who birthed three of her four children AT HER HOUSE) will be happy to hear of this.

P.S. Your comment @ MM made me want to give you the biggest hug ever! I think we are married to the same man! heehee.

He likes to say, "But THEY treat me like a rockstar at work." Dude! That would be because you are THERE at least 10 hours a day and you get stuff done THERE. Home? Yeah, not so much.

He buys the tools and "doesn't get around" to the projects. He has an impressive(and EXPENSIVE)set of tools! But dude doesn't do much more than sit on the couch on the weekends! But we have tons of projects that have been neglected for years! And cleaning up after himself? Yeah, that doesn't happen at all. He won't even bring his plate to the sink! So like you, I end up doing it all. And he wonders why I am irritable! Go figure.

Sorry for writing a book. I just wanted to hug you when I heard your comment. Nice to know I'm not alone. :-)
